This Iceland adventure tour is the perfect opportunity for you to enjoy two popular Iceland activities, ice caving and glacier hiking. You will start by hiking along Solheimajokull glacier. You will witness rough ice ridges, blue sinkholes and glacial crevasses.

We begin to set you up with all necessary equipment for this expedition; helmet, crampons and ice axe. You will then head up to the stunning Solheimajokull glacier and start your adventurous hike. There is something quite magnificent standing on ancient glacier ice with breathtaking natural landscape all around. After approximately 1.5 hour hike - advancing down a low valley you will enter a different world. The view inside the ice cave is truly spectacular with combination of colors and ice one would not think are possible to exist in nature, hence the name “Dragon Ice Cave” because of Game of Thrones. Prepare to be amazed!

What to expect? A hidden location on the glacier unlike anything you have ever seen. Inside the ancient massive glacier is a natural blue ice cave with sparkling diamond walls and unique ceiling creation. Although the ice is massive hundreds of meters thick the light travels through it like glass, hitting the walls of the ice cave showing off many different shades of blue. The cave is also decorated by black trails of volcanic ash from ancient and more recent eruptions.
